EthDenver2023

We had the pleasure of interviewing the interested.fyi team after their participation in the last Buildl hackathon at EthDenver 2023. The team integrated Veramo into their project, and we were excited to learn more about their experience.

The Buildl hackathon is a renowned blockchain hackathon that brings together developers, entrepreneurs, and blockchain enthusiasts to collaborate and build innovative blockchain solutions. The Buildl hackathon was held recently at EthDenver 2023. The hackathon saw the participation of several teams, including interested.fyi.

The team consists of eleven (11) members:

Product: Alec.eth Gutman (Venture Contributooor) — Peeple DAO / Ex ConsenSys Mesh & Matt Mulford (Engineer)

With contributions from Kate Yeh (Product)—Scroll/ Ex Arbitrum + DoorDash, Chester, LaCroix (Design)—Free agent / Ex Sushi + Component.fi , Charles Walsh (Design)—Free agent / Ex, John McClure (Engineer)—Inuition/ Ex Ethereal Ventures + DRW and Alexis Bednarick (Venture Contributooor) — Peeple DAO

Day2Day Venture Contributooors:

Alec.eth Gutman, Alexis Bednarick — Peeple DAO, Alexis Perez — Peeple DAO, and Manny Narang — Peeple DAO + Developer DAO

We wanted to know more about interested.fyi’s experience using Veramo and how it helped them in their project. Let’s dive into their journey and see how they #builtwithveramo!

Veramo is an open-source modular framework that simplifies the process of building decentralized identity solutions.

Q1.

Can we meet you? (Tell us about the team and your roles within the project.)

At our recruiting Service DAO, we are developing Interested.fyi, a product that enables us to contribute to the products we are most passionate about getting to market. Our goal is to improve the process of venture contribution and support the growth of innovative products.

Q2.

Tell us a bit about your solution. How did you come up with the idea for your project, and why did you build it? (Read: What problem were you trying to solve?)

As curators of conversations, we’ve often found that interests drive the best discussions. We are making it simple to express interest in working with and/or learning more about a specific team.

Q3.

How did you come across Veramo, and why did you choose it for your project?

I came across Veramo after struggling with another SDK that couples all of its features tightly to its storage layer. Googling DID solutions led me to Veramo. The Veramo tools existing independently of any other technology is what makes it appealing. We are free to set up a web resolver and then add on chain elements to enhance the experience as it makes sense, rather than going all in on a beta, decentralized storage solution. Also, the documentation was spot on.

Q4.

How did our framework help you achieve your project goals?

By only focusing on the DID/VC layer and allowing us to implement our own storage, we were able to ideate and test implementations more efficiently.

Q7.

How do you see this project going forward?

We will likely seek funding to build more

Q8.

If people are interested in collaborating, how can they reach you?

In the weeks to come, you’ll be able to attest to your interest in learning more about People DAO with ease. Until then, you can get in touch with us at @chipagosfinest on Twitter or Telegram.
